Why do you need to know the pH of your body organs?

All living things maintain homeostasis. If our body's homeostasis is broken, it can cause disease beyond physical discomfort. To maintain a healthy body, it is most desirable to maintain a pH of 7.35 to 7.45. Typical diseases caused by imbalance in pH include hyperventilation, kidney disease, arrhythmia, and cancer.

The pH is represented by a number from 0 to 14. From 0 to 7 is acidic, from 7 to 14 is alkaline, and from 7 is neutral.  Then what is the normal pH of our bodies? The blood pH is usually around 7.4 and the pH in the mouth is around 6.8. The small intestine is 7.6, the large intestine 8.4, and the skin maintains a weak acidity of 5.5 to protect the body from external infections. Urine is 5.5 to 7.5 and sweat is 4.0 to 6.0. The stomach has a pH of 1.0 to 2.0 due to strong acidity, as well as protein digestion and the role of killing bacteria introduced from outside. Food is digested by the mouth's authoring exercise, releasing phthialin, a digestive enzyme, to digest carbohydrates, and then digesting them in the small intestine.

If we eat a lot of alkaline food, it can cause stomach damage. Therefore, it is not desirable to eat seaweed with high alkalido frequently. Use alkaline detergents when cleaning, and not detergent for vegetable bowls. This is because the biggest culprit of environmental pollution is detergent.

Acid-base is closely related to our lives. As you get older, your body gradually turns acidic. The fact that the body becomes acidic means that there are more hydrogen ions in the cell. The constancy breaks and the cells die. As a result, aging is accelerated and various diseases are contracted. For your health, you should try to balance the pH level.

Due to the influence of Western culture these days, the meals that teenagers enjoy are mostly acidic foods, such as meat and instant foods. If these eating habits are repeated, our body's pH will be imbalanced and acidification will be accelerated. Alcohol, tobacco, meat, refined flour, and processed foods, commonly known as acidic foods, destroy red blood cells. As a result, blood flow is blocked, causing inflammation due to lack of oxygen. For a healthy life, attention should be paid to maintaining the appropriate pH concentration for the body part.
